About the Home Renovations Saving Program

The Home Renovation Savings program offers rebates on a range of energy-efficient upgrades for Ontario homeowners. Save on Energy and Enbridge Gas, supported by the Ontario government, have partnered to deliver this program to help Ontarians improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes. Flexible options allow you to choose whether a home energy assessment is required.

To qualify, you must be:

A homeowner of single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.

An Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home with electricity, oil, propane or wood.

How to Participate
No home energy assessment required

For heat pumps

  1. Confirm your eligibility.
  2. Choose a participating contractor and obtain approval before installation.
  3. Complete upgrades.
  4. Receive your rebate.

For solar panels and battery storage

  1. Confirm your eligibility.
  2. Choose a contractor and obtain approval.
  3. Complete upgrades.
  4. Receive your rebate.

For smart thermostats

  1. Apply for an instant rebate by clicking the “Get code” button.
  2. Shop online or in store and use the code at checkout.
  3. If you already purchased a smart thermostat, apply for your $100 rebate by clicking “Apply for rebate” button and upload your receipt within 60 days of purchase.

For attic insulation

  1. Confirm your eligibility.
  2. Choose a participating contractor.
  3. Complete upgrades.
  4. Receive your rebate.

For appliances

  1. Confirm your eligibility.
  2. Purchase a new, eligible appliance. Used or refurbished appliances do not qualify.
  3. Submit your rebate application online within 60 days of purchase for appliances bought after Nov. 19, 2025.

Home energy assessment required

  1. Check your eligibility. Complete a quick online form to find out what you qualify for.
  2. Schedule an assessment. Before beginning any work, complete an initial home energy assessment with a registered energy advisor from an approved service organization.
  3. Get a custom report. See which upgrades are recommended for your home and choose at least two to complete.
  4. Install your upgrades. Have your preferred contractor complete the work.
  5. Schedule a follow-up assessment. After upgrades are installed, complete a final assessment with the same registered energy advisor.
  6. Receive your rebates. You will receive your rebates after your energy advisor submits all required documents.
