Key Dates

As part of the Parsons–High System Renewal Project, new utility poles will be installed throughout the neighbourhood to support upgraded electrical infrastructure.

Settling and Backfill Material

After poles are installed, the ground around the base may settle over time. Crews will use backfill material to stabilize the area and restore disturbed surfaces as needed.

Access and Cranes

Specialized equipment, including cranes and utility vehicles, will be required to install poles and electrical equipment safely. Temporary access restrictions or traffic impacts may occur during active construction.

Double Poles

In some locations, temporary double poles may remain in place while electrical services are transferred from old infrastructure to new equipment. Once all transfers are complete, the original poles will be removed.

Site visits were conducted to identify vegetation that requires trimming near electrical infrastructure.

Trees and branches were cleared up to 3 metres from powerlines to maintain required safety clearances and support reliable electrical service.

All tree clippings and debris were removed and cleaned up following the work.
