Synergy North is completing the Dufferin & Banning Renewal Project to strengthen and modernize electrical infrastructure in the Dufferin & Banning area. The project includes upgrades to overhead and underground electrical systems, utility poles, transformers, and related distribution equipment to improve service reliability and support future electricity needs. Approximately 410 customer services will benefit from these upgrades.

Key benefits of the project include improved electrical reliability, enhanced public and worker safety, reduced risk of unplanned outages, and a stronger, more resilient local distribution system. The project will also ensure the electrical system meets current design standards and is better positioned to support future growth and energy demands.

Project Area

Work will take place throughout the Dufferin & Banning neighbourhood, including laneways and surrounding residential and commercial areas. The project includes the installation of new utility poles, upgrades to existing poles, replacement of overhead electrical lines, transformer upgrades, and select underground system improvements within the identified construction area.

Community Commitment

Synergy North is committed to keeping residents and businesses informed throughout the project. Project updates, notifications, and community engagement opportunities will provide customers with information about construction activities, planned outages, and project milestones, while offering opportunities to ask questions and share feedback.

We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation as we complete these important upgrades to strengthen the local electrical system and improve service reliability for years to come.
